PUBLIC ENEMY!!! Augustine Chihuri fired as Zimbabwe police boss!

Harare – Public enemy General Augustine Chihuri has been retired as the commissioner general of the Zimbabwe Republic Police, the chief secretary in the President’s office has announced via a statement.

Chihuri, largely considered to be inept and corrupt was the only general to receive widespread heckling and deafening boos as he pledged his allegiance to President Emmerson Mnangagwa after the President was sworn in last month.

Mnangagwa had promised to listen to the people’s concerns, whom he termed “the voice of God”.

Earlier today, the military announced an end to their intervention, deemed operation restore legacy, and stated that they had handed over all operations to the police.

The move was met with uproar, as people scampered with anxiety, worried about the potential return of extortive police who demand bribes and run around town like little gods.

But those fears appear to have been allayed, with the announcement of Chihuri’s firing.

Several Zimbabweans have taken to social media to celebrate.
