PSL Transfer Day Deadline Deals

Mamelodi Sundowns

The defending PSL champions signed Argentine forward Emiliano Tade from AmaZulu, with Bonginkosi Ntuli going in the opposite direction on a permanent basis.

George Lebese has joined fellow Tshwane side SuperSport United on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Another player that has been sent out on loan is Thokozani Sekotlong, who will join PSL newcomers Black Leopards till the end of the season.

Kaizer Chiefs

Amakhosi confirmed the signings of Bidvest Wits full-back Reeve Frosler on a three-and-half-year deal and Chippa United goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi on a one-and-a-half-year deal.

The club further confirmed that Ugandan left-back Godfrey Walusimbi had been released by the club after failing to live up to expectations.

In devastating news, Chiefs were sad to announce that young midfielder Wiseman Meyiwa was forced to retire from football at the tender age of just 19 after sustaining serious injuries in a car accident in November last year.

Meyiwa, who joined the Chiefs Academy at 14 years old, is now wheel-chair bound and will not be able to play soccer again.


Usuthu have signed Zimbabwean utility player Talent Chawaphiwa from Baroka FC.

Cape Town City

In a rather shocking move, Ayanda Patosi has left the Citizens after two seasons to join Iran side Esteghlal.

The former Lokeren SC man is on loan for  a reported fee of R5 million, which will become R10 million should the Middle East club opt to make it permanent.

It is believed that he will rake in a salary of about R474,000 tax free.

Maritzburg United

The PSL bottom-dwellers have acquired the services of Cape Town City trio Allan Kateregga, Mpho Matsi and Judas Moseamedi on loan until the end of the season.

The Team of Choice also snapped up Miguel Timm from Chippa United on a free transfer.

Chippa United

Following the exit of number one goalkeeper Daniel Akpyei, who has joined Kaizer Chiefs, the Chilli Boys signed Mwampole Masule from Botswana outfit Township Rollers.

Highlands Park

The Lions of the North have snapped up Polokwane City striker Rodney Ramagalela, though he will only join up with his new employers at the end of the season.

Free State Stars

Ea Lla Koto have roped in former Kaizer Chiefs striker Mitchell Katsvairo and Martin Kizza.
