Nike’s ACG brand is known for it’s high spec, extremely durable silhouettes. Earlier this year they launched the KMNTR or “Komyuter” as it’s sometimes known, and it’s been a huge success. Now, they’re releasing two brand new colourways of it just in time for the upcoming fall/winter season.
When it was unveiled earlier this year there was a lot of hype surrounding the Nike ACG KMTR. It features a high spec buckle system instead of laces and is designed to be the ultimate shoe for city life, hence then name “KMTR/Komyuter”. Now, Nike is treating us to two brand new colourways. The model is getting a Light Bone treatment along with a Velvet Brown edition. The “Light Bone” colourway is particularly clean, and it really brings out the design features of the sneaker.
The entire upper of the sneaker is created of highly durable ripstop fabric, to withstand the hard city environment. It’s also extremely lightweight for manoeuvrability, features leather detailing around the heel of the trainer, and of course the unique elastic ankle strap and midfoot buckle. All of these features combined make for an extremely interesting and unique sneaker, and here at The Idle Man we’re huge fans.
If you’re looking to get your hands on a pair of the KMTR Premium’s in either colourway, they’re set to launch very soon, although we’re yet to receive an official release date. They’ll be releasing at select Nike Sportswear retailers, and via Nike’s online store. There’s not huge hype surrounding the KMTR yet, as it’s still a relatively new silhouette that hasn’t had a huge marketing campaign. However, it’s still a very strong and in our opinion under-rated silhouette.
