Minnie Dlamini just can’t get a break. First, she had to address rumours of being pregnant, then she had to defend her marriage.
Now, it’s reported Minnie had to clear the air about R10 million funding for her beauty range, MD Beauty. According to a report by ZAlebs, the former presenter spoke openly about her business plans in Destiny Magazine, but this is where the confusion started.
It seems people thought she was given the money from Industrial Development Corporation to support her business. However, she actually applied for the R10 million in question as a loan, and it is payable with interest.
Minnie took to social media to say that she’s still waiting for the loan to be approved. “In my Destiny cover I was quoted saying I received a grant from the IDC for my new business. I in fact applied for a loan payable with interest which is still pending due to the error. My apologies for any confusion caused. Not everyone was pleased with this explanation though:

And in an earlier exchange you were quoted saying getting the grant from the IDC was "easy", thereby raising the ire of many frustrated entrepreneurs without your clout who have had their applications turned down several times or sent from pillar to post for years on end.

1. If you had only applied at the time of the interview, why give the impression you had already secured the funds?
2. What error are you referring to?
3. You said you had distribution deals with Shoprite & Clicks and stock would be in stores in December 2018. Was/is this true?
