The second annual BrightRock Players Choice Awards which was held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg saw Aphiwe Dyantyi and Malcolm Marx stand tall, which each player walking away with two awards.

The awards honoured and acknowledged professional South African rugby players voted for by fellow South Africans professional rugby players.

Marx scooped the coveted 2018 Players’ Player of the Year and the Forward of the Year award.

Dyantyi walked away with both the Backline Player of the Year and the #LoveChange Award. It was Dyantyi’s third award in as many months after being voted the Breakthrough Player of the Year by World Rugby following his impressive debut season for the Springboks and the Lions.
