Juventus SACK Massimiliano Allegri!

Italian champions Juventus have sacked head coach Massimiliano Allegri shortly after he guided them to their eighth consecutive league title.

Allegri failed to progress the Old Lady past the quarterfinal stages of the UEFA Champions League after they were surprisingly eliminated by a youthful Ajax Amsterdam side who progressed with an impressive 3-1 aggregate scoreline.

The 51-year-old Italian has won the league title in each of his five seasons since taking charge in 2014.

Juventus have two league games remaining this season, starting with Atalanta at home on Sunday, with Allegri’s final game at Sampdoria on 26 May.
