Kenya’s former 400m hurdles champion in 2015, Nicholas Bett, was killed in a car crash in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Bett, 28, had only returned home from the African Championships in Nigeria earlier this week.
He was killed instantly when his Toyota Prado SUV hit bumps in the road and overturned, according to his coach Vincent Mumo.
Bett made a breakthrough for Kenyan athletics  when he won the 400m hurdles at the world championships in Beijing in 2015.
He also won bronze medals at the African championships in the 400m hurdles as well as the 4x400m relay in 2014.
