DJ Euphonik, real name Themba Mbongeni Nkosi has found himself trending on Twitter for the wrong reason. A tag #EuphonikMustPay has gained traction after a user took to the Tweeter streets to expose DJ Euphonik for fraud. The Tweeter user who goes by the handle @_MistSA came forth with overwhelming evidence that DJ Euphonik defrauded him of over R50 000 for a gig that he, Euphonik, Euphonik never showed up.
Black Twitter soon rode on the trend after Mist SA showed the proof if payments and communication sent to DJ Euphonik via his company Euphonik Productions prior to the event which was scheduled to take place.
Mist SA, who is a DJ by profession, had booked DJ Euphonik for his birthday celebration in #Mthatha, Eastern Cape at Nongoloza’s Lifestyle lounge on the 28th of February 2018. After Euphonik failed to pitch up, Mist SA tried to recover his money according to communication seen by HypeAvenue.com. A case was even opened, according to MistSA.
As a last ditch attempt, the fraustrated Tweep took to Twitter to ask for help :
