Orlando Pirates could be announcing a new addition to their squad for the 2018/19 campaign.

Brilliant Khuzwayo confirmed on Saturday, May 12, that his time with Kaizer Chiefs has come to an end, after spending six years at the club.

“Brilliant Khuzwayo approached the club asking for a blessing to move to another club at the end of the current season. The main reason for his departure is for an opportunity play more games because he is not getting any younger,” Bobby Motaung said on Chiefs’ official website.

According to sources in the know and as reported in the past by the Siya crew, it seems that Pirates are leading the race to land the player’s signature following his exit from Naturena.

Khuzwayo has in the past been strongly linked with a move to Cape Town City, although it was reported that the club and player were unable to agree on financial terms.

However, the player is yet to confirm where his next football destination will be after bidding farewell to Chiefs, although strong indications and reports from Siya sources have suggested that the Buccaneers could be announcing Khuzwayo’s signature in the coming weeks.

Now, it remains to be seen when or if Pirates will make an official announcement about Khuzwayo in the coming weeks.
