Defending champions Amajita took a huge step towards defending their U20 COSAFA Cup title after thumping eSwatini 4-0 in their final Group B match in Kitwe on Saturday.

South Africa were unfortunately restricted to playing only two games in their group after neighbours Namibia withdrew from the competition citing financial reasons.

In their opening match, Thabo Senong’s charges ran riot over Mauritius with a 5-0 scoreline, and are also yet to concede a goal.

Orlando Pirates striker Lyle Foster, who will be off to France in January to join up with Thierry Henry’s Monaco, leads the South Africans’ top goalscorer charts with three goals in two matches.

Amajita will take on Angola on Tuesday, who finished as the runners-up in Group A, for a spot in the final.
