Lunga Sokhela, who is the general manager of Usuthu, confirmed Josephs’ signing to IOL.
“We’ve bought Moeneeb from Wits. Next season he will be playing his football here at AmaZulu. We are excited to sign a player of his calibre,” Sokhela said.
Josephs, 37, made only 10 appearances for the Clever Boys last season and had to play second fiddle to Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Darren Keet.
“Slimkat” will be hoping to get more regular game time at the KZN outfit as he will be competing for the number one jersey with Siyabonga Mbatha and Energy Murambadoro.
Boalefa Pule will be released back to his parent club SuperSport United following the end of his loan deal.
Josephs made his professional debut in 1997 for Cape Town Spurs before also featuring for Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates, winning the country’s top trophies on offer.
