PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the arrival of Venezuelan striker José Alí Meza at Chloorkop from Oriento Petrole.
Following the departure of Khama Billiat to join rivals Kaizer Chiefs last week, Masandawana moved swiftly to find an adequate replacement for the Zimbabwean international.
Meza arrives in Tshwane with an impressive record having found the back of the net on eight occasions in 12 matches for his Venezuelan side this past season alone.
The 27-year-old joins a long list of players from South America who have left their shores for greener pastures to join Sundowns.
In the 2016/17 Bolovian top flight season, Meza found the back of the net 24 times in 53 outings.
Jorge Acuna, José Torrealba, Ricardo Nascimento (currently at Sundowns), Leonardo Castro (now with Chiefs) and Gaston Sirino (currently at Sundowns) make up a contingent of South American players who have all donned the famous yellow and blue colours of the Brazilians.
