Kaizer Chiefs head coach Giovanni Solinas and star player Khama Billiat, clean sweeped the monthly awards for September at the PSL offices on Thursday afternoon.
The Amakhosi had a poor start to the 2018/19 campaign, losing their opening match of the season 3-1 to Bidvest Wits and were also knocked out of the MTN8 competition by SuperSport United.
Fortunes however turned around for the Glamour Boys as they recorded three wins on the trot in the league. They thrashed recently crowned MTN8 champions Cape Town City 4-1, beat Free State Stars 2-0 and saw off AmaZulu by the same scoreline.
Billiat on the other hand has contributed with three league goals in nine appearances and four assists.
Amakhosi next square up against Polokwane City in their next league fixture in Durban on Saturday, in what will be a behind door tie after the Naturena outfit landed themselves in hot water for fan violence towards the end of last season when fans invaded the pitch following the club’s Nedbank Cup semi-final exit at the hands of Ea Lla Koto.
