Kaizer Chiefs Cancel Annual Players’ Award Ceremony

‪After another disastrous season which saw Kaizer Chiefs finish the campaign without silverware yet again, the club has opted not to host the traditional annual players’ awards.

This is the first time in the club’s history that they have gone this route, which comes on the back of three campaigns on the trot that Amakhosi have gone since they last lifted a major trophy.

Steve Komphela resigned in the wake of the club’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Free State Stars in the Nedbank Cup final, and the club has since confirmed that there will be a clearout done both in the technical setup as well as the playing personnel.
