Is Brickz down and out?

FADED kwaito star and rape accused, Brickz is squatting at his new girlfriend’s RDP house in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni.

Sunday Sun sources claimed “Brickz”, real name Sipho Ndlovu, has been hit by hard times, as gigs have dried up.

A musician, who wished to remain anonymous, said Brickz’s career is hanging by a thread, but he’s found a pillar of strength in his new girlfriend, Nomthandazo Khubeka.

Neighbours in Mina Nawe, in Daveyton, confirmed Brickz is a new resident in the area and that he often roams the streets looking for the next cigarette.

“We often stand in the queue with him for amagwinya and we smoke our cigarettes with him. “He’s always indoors. We only see him in the morning or when there are visitors at his girlfriend’s house,” said a neighbour.

Another source said: “Brickz is living here is to avoid the humiliation he has brought his neighbours. Many people were looking up to him and he had a great future, but now that has gone up in smoke.”

The musician said: “Brickz was coming to terms with his failing music career while not being under DJ Cleo’s care. The rape case caused more harm. His reputation is dented for life.”

It was reported in June Brickz was arrested again for allegedly moering his other girlfriend in Jabulani, Soweto. Tomorrow, the Sweetie My Baby hitmaker will appear in court for his rape case at the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court.

Yesterday Brickz said: “Don’t talk to me, just go to those people who saw me there for your comment.”
