Bonang Matheba’s break-up with AKA was a tearful affair for South Africa’s media darling
The 30-year-old has kept mum on their split for months, but a teaser clip from season two of Being Bonang sees her opening up about the failed romance.
“Let me tell you how I dealt with my break-up. You cry and cry and cry,” she said.
Bonang also told her cousin Pinky Girl that there was no going back.
Another sneak peek clip showed Queen B talking about the single life with her bestie Lorna Maseko.
Now I can go anywhere in the world and I don’t have to check-in with anyone,” she tells Lorna.
Bonang might seem excited about being single, but she has just one concern
“What if I never meet a decent guy?” she asks Lorna during their lunch.
Bonang and AKA announced their break-up in late December. Their fans did not believe the news as the couple has previously faked a split for a publicity stunt.
AKA all but confirmed that they were no longer together when he made a confession on national TV about their relationship.
The rapper confessed that he did cheat on DJ Zinhle with Bonang and apologised for his actions. He also called on his ex to do the same
“The start of my relationship was painful because at the time I was in a relationship with my baby mamma. And she was pregnant. And for me, what we put her through was wrong. I’ve apologised for that and I’m sorry for that,” he admitted on Real Talk With Anele.
Bonang, who famously threatened to take legal action against Zinhle in 2015 for revealing the affair, has not yet apologised.
Will she do it on her reality show? We won’t hold our breath, but it looks like we can expect some spicy details about the break-up.
Season two of Being Bonang premieres on Friday, May 4, at 19:30 on 1 Magic.
