Bafana Bafana striker Dino Ndlovu has hit the ground running since joining Chinese League One outfit Hangzhou Greentown from Azerbaijan side Qarabag at the beginning of the season.
The 28-year-old striker has already scored nine goals in 10 outings, with his latest strike coming in the 4-1 demolition of Qingdao, to help his side move up to third place in the league standings, two points behind leaders Wuhan Zall.
Ndlovu completed a big money move to China after a figure in the region of €1 million (around R 15 million) was agreed with his former club, with a two-year contract being offered for the forward.
Greentown see the former Bloemfontein Celtic and SuperSport United player as the perfect hitman to spearhead their return to the Chinese Super League, and his contract in China will see him become one of the highest paid South African players in the world.
During his time with Qarabag, Ndlovu scored 15 goals in 36 games for the Azerbaijan outfit, which aided them to a league title win. This also saw him pick up individual achievements such as the club’s top goal scorer award , before his exit from the club.
